Applicants must satisfy the educational, age and other eligibility conditions prescribed for the selected apprenticeship trade.

Part-time, correspondence, distance and online qualifications are not accepted for these apprenticeship positions. Candidates must possess the required qualification from a recognised institution.

The final examination must have been completed within two years before the closing date of the application. For this recruitment, the qualifying examination should have been passed between 11 September 2024 and 10 September 2026.

Other Eligibility Conditions

  • The candidate must be at least 18 years old at the time of application.

  • The applicant must be an Indian citizen.

  • Candidates awaiting their final examination results are not eligible.

  • Applicants who have already completed or are currently undergoing apprenticeship training in any organisation are not eligible.

  • Candidates having more than one year of work experience are not eligible.

  • Candidates must satisfy the medical fitness requirements applicable to apprenticeship training.


POWERGRID Apprentice Age Limit 2026

The minimum age required for the apprenticeship programme is 18 years at the time of submitting the application.
