RECRUITMENT RALLY NOTIFICATION OUT: The Office of the Director General, Assam Rifles has published the official notification for the Assam Rifles Technical & Tradesman Recruitment Rally 2026. Applications are currently being accepted for 354 vacancies across positions such as Warrant Officer, Havildar, and Rifleman for both male and female candidates.

Eligibility Criteria: Qualifications & Age Limits

1. Educational Qualification

• Tradesman Roles (Cook, Barber, Washerman, Safai): Matriculation (10th pass) from a recognized Board.

• Technical Roles (Lineman, Armoror, Draftsman): 10th Pass with relevant ITI Diploma or Polytechnic Certificate.

• Clerical / PA Roles: Intermediate (10+2) with skill speed of 80 wpm in dictation and typing skills on computer.

2. Age Limit Criteria

• Tradesman & Technical Trades: Applicants must be between 18 and 23 years of age as on the prescribed eligibility date.

• Clerk & Warrant Officer Trades: The prescribed age limit is 18 to 25 years.

• Upper Age Relaxations: SC/ST candidates receive 5 years relaxation; OBC candidates receive 3 years upper age relaxation.

Physical Standard Test (PST) & Physical Efficiency Test (PET)

1. Physical Standards (PST)

• Male Candidates (General/OBC/SC): Height: 170 cm | Chest: 80 cm (Unexpanded), 85 cm (Expanded).

• Female Candidates (General/OBC/SC): Height: 157 cm.

• Relaxations apply for candidates belonging to Hill regions, ST category, and North-Eastern states as per government rules.

2. Physical Efficiency Test (PET) - Running Test

• Male Applicants (Except Ladakh Region): 5 Km Run within 24 Minutes.

• Female Applicants (Except Ladakh Region): 1.6 Km Run within 8 Minutes 30 Seconds.

Selection Methodology

The recruitment process follows a multi-stage elimination model:

1. PST & PET Details: The physical assessment includes measurements such as height and chest, along with a running or endurance test to evaluate physical fitness.

2. Trade (Skill) Test: Assessment of trade-specific practical knowledge (qualifying in nature).

3. Written Examination: 100-mark objective test covering English, Quantitative Aptitude, Reasoning, and General Awareness.

4. Detailed Medical Examination (DME) & Document Verification: Verification of original credentials and medical fitness checkup.
